Home Meal Delivery is Perfect for Inclement Weather

If you live in a part of the country that experiences inclement weather during the winter, it’s important to make sure you have plenty of food should you happen to be snowed in for a few days at a time. You might be able to make a run to the grocery before the snow hits, but chances are your busy schedule isn’t going to allow for picking up bread and milk before the weather changes. At New Vision Nutrition, we have a fantastic selection of health meal options that are perfect for those days when you can’t get out of your driveway. With our home meal delivery, you won’t have to worry about going hungry or eating cereal for all three meals.

With enough forewarning that bad weather is on its way, you can stock your freezer with healthy meals for those cold, snowy days. Obviously you’ll need to have your meals arrive before the snow does, and with our delivery service, you can have enough meals for a week. Every order placed Monday through Thursday will ship the following Monday, and should arrive Tuesday or Wednesday (depending on your location). Orders placed Friday through Sunday will ship on Wednesday, and should be on your doorstep by Thursday or Friday. With enough forethought, you can stock your freezer for those snowy days, and our meals will keep quite well when frozen! If you keep the meals in the fridge, we recommend enjoying them within seven days of their arrival.

One issue that can arise with a serious snowstorm is the loss of power. The fastest way to prepare your New Vision meals is in the microwave, but if the power is out, that option goes out the window. The same is true if you have an electric oven or stovetop, but with a gas stove, you should be able to light the burners with a match (if your stove has an electronic igniter). Your meals can be heated on the stovetop, and this also gives you the opportunity to add other spices and ingredients to your entree. If you can’t get your oven range to work and have a wood-burning stove or fireplace, you may be able to cook your meals on the top of the stove or over the open flame. (Be sure to exercise caution, as cooking with fire can be a memorable experience in many ways!)

Bad weather can strike at any moment, and it’s always good to be prepared. If you’re looking for healthy options to have on hand when the snow falls, look through our meal options today. Our home meal delivery will keep you well stocked during those long, cold days, and you won’t have to settle for snacks that don’t satiate your hunger, and food that isn’t the best for your body. Your dietary and fitness goals don’t have to wait just because you can’t get the car out of the garage or the driveway!
